Spending New Year’s Eve in Nashville, TN
Before getting into the specifics, let’s set the scene (or, more appropriately, the stage).
Nashville’s weather on New Year’s Eve typically hovers around the low 40s during the day, dipping below freezing at night. Rain is common, so pack with warm layers and an umbrella or raincoat.
And of course, expect many crowds and heavy traffic, especially around popular venues downtown.
Now, let’s get into the fun details!
New Year’s Eve Events in Nashville for Adults
1. Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s BIG Bash
Want to be at Nashville’s “it” party? Then head to Bicentennial Capitol Mall for Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s BIG Bash!
This is one of the biggest events in Nashville all year and is a massive street party. Expect hours of live music on multiple stages, the city’s main fireworks show, pop-up bars, and food vendors.
Of course, the BIG Bash also hosts the iconic “Music Note drop” — a Tennessee take on the traditional Times Square ball drop.
Red-hot CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, and Lynyrd Skynyrd are hosting for 2024. In addition, Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell has a 10-minute guest DJ set to kick off the night.
If you want to party like a real rock star, consider getting tickets to the Gold Circle Party. This VIP event has indoor and outdoor spaces with complimentary food and drinks. The main perk, though, is a prime viewing area for fireworks and performances.
The event is completely FREE (except for the Gold Circle Party).
Gates open at 4:30 PM, and attendees are highly encouraged to take a rideshare or public transportation.
2. Disco Rodeo at Acme Feed & Seed
What could sound more Nashville than a disco rodeo?
At popular Acme Feed & Seed (locals simply call it Acme), ring in the New Year donning your favorite rhinestone cowboy attire!
All three levels of the historic building will host a different party, so you can find what suits your groove the best.
On the main level, enjoy classic Nashville-esque live music. Then, upstairs on the second and third levels, expect a DJ, dance party, VIP booths, and the coveted midnight confetti countdown.
The rooftop will also host an exclusive party, featuring igloos! Each igloo offers a private party experience, so you’ll get “silent disco” headphones and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
As mentioned above, Acme encourages partygoers to dress the part, so don your best fringe, bell bottoms, and glitter!
3. ‘Roar’ Into ’24 at Noelle
If you love a good theme party (who doesn’t?), you may want to spend New Years Eve in Nashville at Noelle.
Put on your best Roaring 20s ensemble, then head to the chic boutique hotel downtown.
‘Roar Into ’24’ takes over the hotel’s various bars, lounges, and hidden nooks, including the Trade Room restaurant, Saidee Gallery, and The Archives.
The ticketed, 21-and-up event includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, as well as live music by an authentic 7-piece band.
Festivities also extend beyond the dance floor. Look out for the photo booth, keepsake party favors, and the midnight balloon drop.
4. STUDIO 24: L.A. Jackson Midnight Hour
We love a good rooftop bar (again, who doesn’t?). Lucky for us, and all the other rooftop enthusiasts out there, too, Nashville has plenty.
L.A. Jackson is arguably one of the most popular, with a hip indoor/outdoor setup and great views over the city.
At the STUDIO24 Midnight Hour party, you’ll enjoy that, plus a fun retro theme — a take on the iconic Studio 54 disco club.
Come dressed in your ’70s disco best, then expect to dance the night away on the rooftop. There will be live music, retro-mod cocktails from the open bar, and a ball drop and champagne toast at midnight.
Tickets start at $300 per person, and VIP tables with dedicated service are also available.
The best part about spending New Year’s Eve in Nashville at L.A. Jackson? Seeing the fireworks show from the patio!
5. Bobby Nashville’s NYE Bash
One of our favorite boutique hotels in Nashville also happens to be one of the best places to spend New Year’s Eve.
Bobby Nashville’s annual NYE Bash transforms the entire hotel into a celebratory adult playground. There will be passed appetizers, live music by Sunday Scaries, and a massive confetti and balloon drop at midnight.
While you’re there, check out “Camp Bobby” on the 10th-story rooftop. Unlike any other rooftop bar in Nashville, Camp Bobby has a retro Greyhound bus, a pool, and yard games. And in the winter, it gets even cooler with private campfire igloos and vintage holiday vibes.
If you still need to make dinner plans, Bobby has you covered there, too. The onsite Union Tavern will serve a 4-course prix fixe dinner for $99/person, with seating times from 5:15-9:00 PM.
Insider tip: choose the latest seating option, because after dinner, you’ll get access to the party!
6. Take a Mixology Class
Whether you’re not the go-out-and-party type or you want to do some unique pre-gaming, we have a fun suggestion. Take an afternoon mixology class, featuring a New Years twist: champagne cocktails and martinis.
Sip Cocktail Co. hosts the class, where you’ll make (and try!) THREE full-sized cocktails while getting to enjoy light bites. Your host will also greet you with a welcome glass of bubbly, and there’s a fun photo booth to play around with.
The class runs from 2-4:00 PM, so if you do plan to go out for New Year’s Eve in Nashville, you’ll have plenty of time to do both.

This elegant evening starts with a four-course dinner in the Victorian Theater ballroom. Then, enjoy a night of live music and dancing, complete with fun photo props, a champagne toast, and a countdown to midnight.
